Navodaya Wale – “Your Partner from Preparation to Admission”
The hard part is over—the exam is done! But don’t relax just yet. The journey from “giving the exam” to “getting a seat” in a Sainik School involves a few very important steps. If you miss a deadline here, all your hard work could go to waste.
At Navodaya Wale, we don’t just leave you after the exam. Here is the complete roadmap of what happens next.
Step 1: E-Counselling Registration (The Most Important Part)
This is where many parents get confused. Sainik School admissions now happen through the AISSAC (Sainik School Admission Counselling) portal.
- Registration: You must register on the official e-counselling website using your AISSEE application number.
- Choice Filling: You get to pick which Sainik Schools you want to apply for.
- Pro Tip: You can choose your home state school and also look at other schools across India where seats might be available for your category.
Step 2: The AISSEE Answer Key (Wait for the Challenge)
A few weeks after the exam, the NTA (National Testing Agency) will release the Provisional Answer Key.
- What to do? Check your child’s OMR sheet against the key.
- The “Challenge”: If you think a question was marked wrong by the NTA but your child’s answer is right, you can “challenge” it by paying a small fee. This ensures every mark is counted fairly.
Step 3: The Final Result & Merit List
After checking challenges, the NTA releases the final result and the All India Merit List.
- Check your score: You will see your child’s marks and whether they have “qualified.”
- Note: Simply qualifying doesn’t mean you get a seat. It just means you are eligible for the next big step: E-Counselling.
Step 4: Rounds of Seat Allotment
E-counselling happens in Rounds (Round 1, Round 2, etc.).
- Round 1: If your rank is high, you’ll get a school in the first list. You then have to “Accept” the seat and go for a medical exam.
- Round 2 & 3: If you didn’t get your preferred school in Round 1, you can wait for the next rounds to see if seats open up.
Step 5: Medical Examination & Documentation
Once a school is allotted, the child must clear a Medical Test. If they are fit, you submit your documents (ST/SC/OBC certificates, Domicile, etc.), pay the fees, and congrats—you are now a Cadet!
